We facilitate research to focus on the key aspects of sustainable fashion: material, recycling technology and an industry-wide acknowledge ESG-certificate.
In collaboration with leading research institutes (e.g. EMPA, EFPL) we strive to find biodegradable materials and new technologies to better recycle old clothes.
Sustainable fashion is clearly in consumer´s mind. Yet if it comes to the actual purchase, old patterns wins over the good intention. Making people more sensitive to the consequences of their lifestyle may help to shift the mind-set.
One of our key initiative is the ´GoodFashion@School´initiative - an edutainment program to raise awareness with primary school kids.
Bringing transparency about the Do´s and Don´ts of the fashion industry and promoting the achievements made is another important initiative to raise awareness and shift the mind-set of the consumers.
At the "GoodFashion Festival" (GFF) - an annual happening - we want to draw high attention for sustainable fashion, promote solutions and new ideas and yes celebrate cool and good fashion.
What we have learned is that so many ideas and great efforts by start-ups and ventures in the sustainable fashion industry do fail. Reasons here are both lack of capital and business management capabilities.
With the Private Investment Circle (PIC) we at the GFI are dedicated to help these ventures to succeed. Coach them and match them with potential investors. Help them to grow, is our way to increase the market for good fashion.
